Things To Do - Wine Trails

The Perth Hills wine region can be divided into three wine trails:

Chittering Valley Wine Trail

The Chittering Valley wine trail is located an hours drive north west of Perth. Its gently undulating hills form a beautiful backdrop to the vineyards, farms and orchards that are scattered upon the hillsides. The trail takes in eight wineries where you can try a myriad of wines including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Shiraz, Verdehlo and Viognier.

Heart of the Hills Trail

Enjoy the vineyards of Mundaring by sampling some of the splendid wines the cellar doors have to offer. The key wines you'll find on this trail are Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Methode Champenoise. You can dine on wonderful surroundings and gourmet meals at the same time in the Heart of the Hills. The area is also home to craftspeople and artists with lots of studios and galleries where they show their works.

Bickley and Carmel Valleys Wine Trail

Just 35 minutes east of Perth you can enjoy all that the Bickley and Carmel Valleys have to offer. There is a cluster of award winning boutique vineyards and wineries here. The trail is dotted with cellar doors and as you making your way through you will be happy to find roadside stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables and beautiful barbeque spots in the national parks.
