NicheQ is a Western Australian building company that specialises in Energy Efficient Housing for WA’s Mining and North West regional areas. Our Single and Two-Storey Houses and Unit Developments offer outstanding Thermal Insulation and Sound Attenuation characteristics; they are Fire Resistant, Termite Resistant, and designed to withstand Cyclonic Conditions (up to Region D).
NicheQ quality homes are different to modular and transportable homes. They have been architecturally designed and are manufactured locally in WA using a high quality flat packed building system – a modern advancement of the SIPS (Structurally Insulated Panels) technology, which has been used globally for over 70 years.
Our single-storey homes are ready for occupancy in 9-10 weeks, and our two-storey homes in 14-15 weeks, with a full range of finishes and colours available.

NicheQ believes in creating sustainable communities in mining and regional areas. We believe, based on market research that more families will move to these areas to live permanently in the future. All of our houses are finished to the highest possible level. They are designed by leading interior designers, and include designer kitchens and well-finished bathrooms equipped with high standards of fixtures, fittings, and tiling.
The product is a modern day development of the SIPS method of construction initiated in the USA in 1928 and extensively used by many advanced nations around the world. It utilises new materials and advanced technology to create energy efficient homes (no less than 7 Star energy rated) with exceptional thermal insulation and sound attenuation characteristics.
Our system is neither modular nor transportable. Each and every house is designed by Fred Zuideveld, one of Perth’s leading architects, with full flexibility to create a comfortable living space without being restricted by the rigidity and constraints of modules; and taking into consideration the house’s position on each lot and its orientation.
NicheQ’s system is fast to install, 9-10 weeks ready for occupancy for single storey houses and 14-15 weeks for two storey homes. All types of finishes and colours are available to suit individual tastes. The system is also designed to withstand cyclonic conditions up to Region D. NicheQ always has materials in stock for at least 20 houses ready to go to site for installation within one week.
